Coronavirus (COVID-19) - updated 24 September 2021

  • If you are coming to an outpatient appointment please do not arrive at your appointment more than 10 minutes early. Please do not bring anyone else into the hospital with you, unless the appointment is for a child or an adult who requires a carer – exceptions apply for maternity appointments.
  • All outpatients and visitors are asked to take a lateral flow COVID-19 test beforehand.
  • Please do not come to the hospital if you have coronavirus symptoms.
  • Follow the self-isolation guidelines if you have, or live with someone who has, a high temperature or new continuous cough or a loss or change in your sense of taste or smell.
  • If are unable to attend a planned appointment, please contact us using the number on your appointment letter or the contact form.
  • Appointments are going ahead as usual, unless we contact you to tell you otherwise. If we have to cancel your appointment, or change it to a virtual or telephone clinic, we will contact you in advance.

Cancelling your appointment

If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible:

If you need to cancel a follow up appointment, you have to contact the relevant clinic area direct, as the apppointment centre only deal with new outpatitient appointments

Cancellations by us

We try to keep every appointment we make, but medical emergencies and unforeseen circumstances mean that we sometimes have to cancel appointments.

If this happens, we are sorry for any inconvenience caused and will arrange a new appointment for you as soon as possible.

You will normally be informed of the new appointment date by post.

Please note:
The hospitals cannot reimburse you for any costs incurred as a result of a cancellation.
