If you don't have symptoms
Just Tests
These appointments are suitable for people with no symptoms and would like to test for sexually transmitted infections.
We routinely offer tests for:
- Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea (via swab or urine depending on anatomy)
- HIV and Syphilis (via blood sample)
- Hepatitis A, B and C testing will be offered in certain circumstances
This type of appointment is not suitable if you:
- are under 18 years of age
- have any symptoms of an infection
- have any concerns or problems that you wish to discuss with a health professional
- require any vaccinations or treatment
- have a concern related to a partner who has an infection
Please be aware that it can take two weeks from sexual contact for a chlamydia and gonorrhoea test to be accurate, at least seven weeks for a HIV test and twelve weeks for a syphilis test.
Online postal kits
Chlamydia Screening Programme
Currently available for people aged 15 – 24 years old with a vagina. These are postal testing kits for chlamydia and gonorrhoea, which can be collected from our reception desk.
Herpes and Genital warts
Herpes can be tested for via swab of an ulceration, if you do not have symptoms, we cannot test. Genital Warts cannot be tested for however, areas of concern can be reviewed by a clinician and treated appropriately with cryotherapy or creams.
