Contraceptive services at the Riverside Clinic
We offer complex contraception
This includes advice on:
- coil fits or removals when the GP has tried and failed to do so in General Practice
- implant removals when the GP has been unable to feel the implant or remove it
- advice related to medical conditions and contraception
Your GP will need to refer you to our service for any of these.
Emergency contraception
If you require advice on emergency contraception (emergency coil or morning after pill), please contact your General Practice, Pharmacy or Sexual Health as soon as possible.
The Copper Coil is the most reliable form of emergency contraception if you are in the window when this can be safely fitted. Your GP may be able to offer you this service.
If you wish to get the Morning-after pill (oral Emergency contraceptive), this can be accessed via advice from a Pharmacy your GP or a Sexual Health Clinic.
