Having surgery at the Royal United Hospital

Coming into hospital for surgery is often a daunting prospect for all our patients but especially for our younger patients and their parents.

In order to help prepare our younger patients for their surgery, Consultant anaesthetist, Rebecca Leslie, has created 2 virtual reality tours to show what will happen when they come into hospital for their surgery. The films are virtual reality so all the different areas of the hospital can be fully explored whilst watching the films. We hope these films will help alleviate any worry our patients may have about their surgery.

Time is Precious charity logo These films have only been made possible by the kind support from Time is Precious, a wonderful local charity supporting children who need to spend time in hospital. For more information about this excellent charity please go to www.timeisprecious.org
