Working for us

RUH New Doctors

Consultants & SAS Grade Doctors

You will be welcomed into the RUH on your first day by joining us at your Welcome to the RUH day based in the Education Centre (E7). Here you will find out more about life at the RUH and what matters most to us as an organisation, including our shared values, vision and goals. You will also receive lots of useful information to help settle you into the RUH and it's a great opportunity to meet other new starters too.

You will receive a personalised timetable through our recruitment system TRAC before you start, letting you know more about your induction programme.

Mandatory training for new starters must be completed as soon as possible after commencing work at RUH (this cannot be completed pre-hire) and at the latest, within one month of starting.

Most mandatory training will be completed as eLearning on the RUH’s learning platform LearnTogether. You will be given access to LearnTogether as a guest user before you start work to complete your Millennium Electronic Patient Record training. On the Friday prior to your start date, your log-in information will change automatically to RUH Staff access which uses your NHS.net address and password and your mandatory training requirements will be added.

Save time - avoid having to repeat mandatory training.

If you have previously completed mandatory training aligned to the Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF) this can be transferred to your LearnTogether record to avoid you having to repeat the training.

Before you leave your current employer please obtain evidence of your completed training, for example a report from the learning management system or individual certificates showing the names and dates of completed training. Submit your training evidence for recording to ruh-tr.learntogether@nhs.net

More information is available on the RUH intranet under:-
staff development » mandatory training » passporting mandatory training.

Without evidence of training that you have already undertaken, it will be assumed that you need to complete all the RUH mandatory training requirements.
