Find out more about the benefits of working on the bank from some of our staff:

"I've been working on the bank at the RUH for 10 years. It suits me as the hours are flexible and allows me to fit work around my family commitments.

"I choose the hours I want work and I really enjoy the variety it offers – some shifts I'll work on surgical wards and others I'll be on the medical wards."

Clychelle, Nurse Facilitator

"I work in a predominantly non-clinical role and working on the bank allows me to maintain my clinical skills in my specialist area. The Bank is also helpful if my family is planning a holiday as it provides us with that extra income."

Santhosh, Nurse Pool

"Being on the bank means I can work around my family commitments, this allows me to have the flexibility I need, I can choose my shifts and I enjoy working with variety of staff across many wards."
