Lizzy Eades, Senior Aseptics Services Technician

Lizzy

My name is Lizzy and I have been working at the Royal United Hospital for 6 years now. I started as a Pharmacy Assistant working in Aseptic Services in 2016. If you haven't worked in this area before, this role is a good place to start as you can learn about Aseptics and what it we do. I worked in this role for a year, before applying for the Student Pharmacy Technician post which I was successfully employed.

I was a Student Pharmacy Technician for 2 years from 2017-2019. As part of this role I completed a Level 3 BTEC in Pharmaceutical Science and Level 3 NVQ in Pharmacy Service Skills and qualified as a Pharmacy Technician which enabled me to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

Following registration I became an Aseptic Services Technician with a permanent position in the Aseptic Services unit and worked my way up to the role of Senior Aseptic Services Technician after gaining the necessary experience.

I am looking forward to developing more within my role and aspire to progress in my career within Aseptic's in the future.

I really enjoy working in the Aseptic Services unit as each day is different and there is a wide range of jobs and you are never doing the same thing day to day. Everyone is encouraged to develop and progress in the Aseptic Services Unit and you will always be supported and encouraged to reach for the next step and develop. Whether you join as an Assistant or Technician there are various development and training opportunities for everyone.
