About the SOC
The Sulis Orthopaedic Centre is based at the RUH's independent partner hospital, Sulis Hospital in Peasedown St John, and is a joint venture between the RUH and Sulis. It specialises in non-emergency, orthopaedic surgery and provides care for NHS patients.
There are 8 recovery bays in Sulis Hospital Recovery and 3 in Sulis Orthopaedic Centre.
Surgery for patients from the RUH is undertaken by an RUH surgeon, assisted by a surgical team from Sulis. Immediate pre-operative and post-operative care is provided by the Sulis team.
