Clinical Governance

Clinical governance is a 'framework through which NHS organisations are accountable for continuously improving the quality of their service and safeguarding the high standards of care by creating an environment in which excellence in clinical care will flourish'.

A Clinical Governance Committee (Assurance Committee) sets out the overall direction for patient safety and experience and its governance within the Trust and agrees the programme of work with the Trust Board.

Minutes of meetings, clinical governance annual reports and update reports can be accessed through the Trust Board papers.
