Peripheral arterial disease
This is the narrowing of the arteries to the leg (and occasionally the arm) can cause pain on exercise and can also lead to ulceration or gangrene and loss of the limb.
A full range of treatments are available across the Vascular Network including balloon stretching (angioplasty), stenting and bypass surgery. Where you are treated will depend upon your condition and the severity of your symptoms.
