Getting Involved
Single equality scheme consultation
Please take this opportunity to express your views on our draft single equality scheme and also get involved in our action planning event in support of the scheme.
Why do we need a single equality scheme?
All public bodies must have a disability, a gender and a race equality scheme. We have incorporated these 3 schemes into a single equality scheme and extended this to include the other 3 diversity strands (age, religion or belief and sexual orientation).
Following the action planning event on on 2nd February 2010, these six broad strands will be underpinned by a series of outcomes, measures and activities.
The scheme also sets out a proposed governance framework which will allow the Trust to monitor progress and demonstrate how it is meeting its objectives in this area.
How can you get involved?
Please take the time to read the scheme and feedback your thoughts. The more people who do this, the more robust our scheme will be.
To help you focus your views, there is a short questionnaire below. Please don't be put off by the length of the document. Take it section by section and you will find it quite user friendly.
You might also wish to attend the action planning event on 2nd February 2010 – please use the booking form to confirm your attendance.
