What to expect from your induction

If you are starting before 17 July 2023

You will be welcomed in your department on your first day to begin your induction at the RUH.

Your manager will guide you through your induction which will include completing a Trust welcome introduced by Chief Executive Cara Charles-Barks to learn about what matters most to us as an organisation, including our shared values, vision and goals. You will also attend a Welcome to the RUH session which will provide you with lots of useful information to help settle you into life at the RUH.

With your manager you will work through an induction programme checklist to ensure that you are aware of all the important information required to work at the RUH including the relevant training and policies.

You will also have the opportunity to tell us your experience of joining us and share any new ideas you may have for us as an organisation.

From 17 July 2023 onwards

You will be welcomed into the RUH on your first day by joining us at your Welcome to the RUH day based in the education centre (E7). Here you will find out more about life at the RUH and what matters most to us as an organisation, including our shared values, vision and goals. You will also receive lots of useful information to help settle you into the RUH and is a great opportunity to meet other new starters too.

You will receive a personalised timetable through our recruitment system TRAC before you start letting you know more about your induction programme.
