Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS)

The Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS) exists to help the hospital in all phases in the lifecycle of medical equipment. MEMS is a part of the department of Medical Physics and Bioengineering.

How to send equipment to MEMS

The team includes experienced, qualified service technicians who look after much of the medical equipment on the RUH site, including monitors, infusion pumps, diathermy equipment, linear accelerators to name just a few. Contracts also exist with many local PCTs, GPs and other health related organisations.

In addition there are clinical engineers who are available to help on any other matters relating to medical device management.
