Come and meet your RUH Governors in North Wiltshire

Residents in North Wiltshire are invited to attend an afternoon session hosted by two constituency Governors of the Royal United Hospitals (RUH) Bath NHS Foundation Trust, on Thursday 24 November, starting at 2pm.

Jan Taylor and Chris Callow, public governors of the RUH will be hosting the meeting in Malmesbury’s town hall. Refreshments will be available and the meeting will finish at 4pm.

Re-elected Governor for North Wiltshire, Chris Callow says:

“We hope residents will come along as we look forward to meeting you. We want to hear your views about our services to share them with the Trust’s Board of Directors through the Council of Governors.”

At this meeting, RUH Commercial Director Jocelyn Foster will provide an update on the Bath and North East Somerset, Wiltshire and Swindon Sustainability Transformation Plan (STP). This plan looks at how health and social care providers can come together to continue to improve the health and wellbeing of local people and improve the quality or local health and care services.

There will also be an update on the Trust’s 15 Step Challenge which assesses how welcoming and well organised our outpatient departments are within the first 15 steps patients take across the threshold.

Brian Stables, Chairman of the Trust says:

“All of the feedback we gather will be taken to the next Council of Governors meeting in December and it will be used to influence the RUH’s priorities and future business plans.

“If you are able to attend, please could you book your place by calling our membership office on 01225 821262 or email: ruhmembership@nhs.net. We look forward to seeing you there.”
