Chaplaincy - The Spiritual Care Team

The Spiritual Care Team offers spiritual and religious care to patients, their families, carers, staff and volunteers - especially at difficult or uncertain times. The team supports people of all faiths and none, and are concerned with broader issues of spirituality - of meaning, purpose and worth - whether or not these are expressed through religious faith or not.

The team comprises Chaplains and Spiritual Care Volunteers who are pastorally trained, personally committed to spirituality and are connected to a community of practice. The team reflects the breadth of Christian tradition in bath and surrounding counties, but also the growing significance of other religions and that most people in Britain do not regularly participate in religious activities.

Someone from the Spiritual Care Team is always available, to visit and to listen: please ask a member of staff. A chaplain is on-site Sunday to Friday 0830 to 1630 and is on-call for emergencies (through the switchboard) at other times - day or night - including bank holidays.
