Working for us

RUH New Staff

The RUH is committed to keeping you safe and will provide the relevant Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for your role.

Nurses, Midwives, Healthcare Support Workers, Maternity Care Assistants (MCAs), Doctors and Porters are required to order uniforms through the Trust's Linen and Laundry Services to wear during their shifts. All other clinical staff will be able to obtain their uniforms from their departments.

How to obtain your uniform

  1. Check what your uniform is by clicking on the uniform matrix. Uniforms not found on this matrix are ordered by your local department
  2. Please fill out the uniform request form to order your uniform (Nurses, Midwives, Healthcare Support Workers, MCAs, Doctors and Porters)
  3. Choose the best fit to your sizing as you would in a shop on the high street
  4. You will receive 3 - 5 sets of uniform depending on the number of shifts worked
  5. If you require a fitting to try on the uniform before confirming your order: Doctors In Training (DiT): There is no need for you to book a fitting appointment. Please order your uniform on the Uniform Request Form and you will receive instructions to collect on your first day.
  6. You will receive an email when your uniform is ready to collect. If you are starting at the RUH from the 17 July 2023 onwards you will be able to collect your uniform on your first day when you attend your Welcome to the RUH day.
  7. Please allow a minimum of 3 days for your uniform order to be prepared so that it is available for you to collect on your first day. Some uniforms may take longer depending on availability
