What we offer

Patients who meet our referral criteria are usually offered a one-to-one rheumatology therapy assessment to discuss and agree individual problems and a treatment plan going forward. This may include group or individual treatment, depending on your individual needs.

A two week residential programme can be offered for patients with a diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis, based on individual assessment of need. A referral from the RNHRD Rheumatology Consultant team is needed for this.

An outpatient Fibromyalgia Self-Management Programme can be offered for patients with a confirmed diagnosis of fibromyalgia, based on individual assessment of need. A referral from your GP or RNHRD Rheumatology Consultant Team is needed for this.

Includes individual assessments and rehabilitation, condition-specific education, exercise prescription, manual therapy, hydrotherapy.

Includes functional assessments of your activities of daily living, condition-management education and advice including managing fatigue, sleep and stress. Hand splinting and work advice is also provided, as needed.

Includes biomechanical assessment of the foot and lower limbs, with advice on exercise, insoles and orthotics as needed. Advice on foot care, footwear and tissue viability is also provided.

For adults to support individual management of fibromyalgia, ankylosing spondylitis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, lupus and scleroderma. Some of these education sessions are in collaboration with the Bath Institute for Rheumatic Diseases (BIRD).
