Clinical Application
Tests available on each fluid type:
Pleural: Total protein, LDH, pH, glucose, amylase and triglycerides.
Drain: Amylase, electrolytes (sodium and potassium), total protein, creatinine, urea and total bilirubin.
Ascitic: Albumin, amylase, total protein, triglycerides, urea and SAAG.
Please note: these tests are not currently accredited by UKAS to the ISO 15189:2022 Standard.
