Progesterone ranges/interpretation
Follicular phase: <6 nmol/L
Mid-luteal phase: >15 nmol/L
When measured 7 days before onset of menses, progesterone >30 nmol/L confirms ovulation.
A result of 15-30 nmol/L should be repeated with careful timing.
Repeat results >15 nmol/L, in the presence of regular cycles is consistent with ovulation.
