Clinical Application
Useful in diagnosis of gastrin-secreting tumour, which may occur as part of Multiple Endocrine Adenopathy: measurement of Chromogranin A can also be useful in this context. H2-antagonists should be withdrawn for at least 3 days and PPIs for at least 2 weeks prior to measurement. If this is not feasible for clinical reasons, please contact lab.
