Current Industrial Action by Public Sector Unions
We want to keep our patients and visitors up to date with regard to the industrial action by some public sector workers.
Some of our clinical and non-clinical staff are members of the unions which have voted for industrial action or have indicated they would support a day of action and this may in turn impact upon the services we can provide on the day. However, we plan carefully all year round for all kinds of contingencies, including extreme weather, seasonal flu or other service issues, linking with healthcare providers, emergency services, local authority and other partners.
We will work together to ensure that we minimise any disruption to patient care. At the moment we expect all clinics and services will operate as normal on the day, however if union activities dictate that we need to review that position, we will ensure that this is communicated to patients as early as possible.
