Waiting Times
- Outpatient waits indicate the waiting time for a routine referral received at the end of the reported month
- Average treatment waits are for all patients treated in month including 2-week waits and urgent cases
We apologise that many patient appointments have been delayed during the COVID-19 Pandemic. To ensure patient safety, each specialty is working to provide clinical review by a telephone, video or face-to-face appointments for as many patients as is safe to do so. Social distancing measures are in place in all outpatient departments for those patients where face-to-face appointments are essential. Patients with COVID-19 symptoms should not attend appointments.
The RUH, BMI Bath Clinic and Circle Bath are all working together to provide surgical treatment for patients whose procedures were cancelled or delayed by the Pandemic. Patients will be offered dates for treatment over the coming months; prioritised by clinical need and length of waiting time. Patients will need to follow the Public Health guidance on self-isolation (3 days for most patients) and have a COVID swab taken prior to admission to hospital. We are sorry that patients are waiting longer than we would want.
