24 Hour Blood Pressure

A 24 hour blood pressure record is sometimes useful in diagnosis or drug management.

Who not

Patients must be able to travel to the hospital once to have the recorder fitted. The equipment usually needs to be returned the following day, not necessarily by the patient.

The recording device is fitted by a Cardiac Physiologist and the result is reviewed by the Consultant Cardiologist. A management plan is suggested.

Monday to Thursday all day.

Referrals are made by letter.
Appointments are made by the Cardiology Appointments Clerk.
Appointments are sent or confirmed by post.

Cardiac Centre, 3rd Floor Central, Royal United Hospital, Bath

Patients should wear a loose short sleeved top which can easily be taken on and off over the recorder.
