How do I get my wig?

Linda acts as a private wig supplier for Banbury Postiche; and has a large selection of styles, makes and colours available. She has a selection of wigs for patients to try on in different styles and colours.

Delivery of the wigs can take 1 to 2 weeks depending on the availability.

In recent years the quality of the wigs has improved greatly. They look very natural and there is a selection of hand tied, monofilament and other quality manufactured wigs. Advice can be given on personalizing and cutting the wigs to suit you and regarding the easy after care of the wig.

Are they NHS wigs?

No, there are no NHS wigs but patients only have to pay £60 and the NHS covers the rest of the cost. Most of the styles can be bought in large department stores but are considerably cheaper at the RUH, because the cost is subsidized by the hospital. If the wigs were bought privately the prices range from £80 to £240.
