Mental Health and Social Care

We are committed to providing the best all round care for patients, whatever their needs.

Mental Health Services

We see a large number of patients with mental health problems or complex social issues.

To provide the best possible care for these patients we have specific mental health assessment rooms and a separate interview room on our observation ward.

As well as the oncall psychiatric service, we have our own mental health liaison team who provide daily patient assessment & work in close relation with the local community psychiatric teams, they also work closely with our local alcohol and substance misuse professionals.

Social Care

To help older patients and provide better all round care we have a discharge assessment team of occupational and physiotherapists, who work towards getting people safely back home.

They can arrange increased short term nursing or care input, or find community rehabilitation placements if required
