Clinical Application
Galactose Cerebrosidase is used in the diagnosis of Krabbe Leukodystrophy, a lysosomal disorder of myelin metabolism, with autosomal recessive inheritance. It is characterised by a deficiency of galactosylceramidase, allowing galacto-cerebroside accumulation in the brain and peripheral nerves
