RUH appoints new Non-Executive Director

Jane Scadding
A new Non-Executive Director has been appointed to the Board of the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust (RUH).

Jane Scadding is the first Non-Executive Director to be appointed by the Trust's Council of Governors since the RUH became an NHS Foundation Trust in November 2014 and will serve a three year term on the Board.

Jane comes to the role with a professional background in global procurement and supply within the healthcare sector, as well as experience in the arena of construction and engineering – knowledge which will be of great benefit to the Trust as it embarks upon a significant period of redevelopment.

Jane said: "I am really excited to be joining the Board of Directors at a time of significant growth for the Trust, and at a time of significant investment to improve facilities. I am hopeful that my previous experience will bring a different perspective and will help support the Trust as it seeks to develop for the direct benefit of the patients and communities it serves."

The Trust's Chairman Brian Stables says: "On behalf of the Board, I am delighted to be welcoming such a highly qualified and experienced Non-Executive Director to the RUH. I believe Jane will make a real difference in helping to influence and shape the improvements we will be making at what is an exciting time for the Trust."
