Project Overview

Extend the outpatient procedures being offered within the department, in line with the Trust's integrated business plan. In terms of market recapture, hysteroscopic sterilisation will be exclusively provided by the RUH within the South West region which will provide opportunities to recapture market share lost to Independent Sector Treatment Centres who also perform laparoscopic sterilisation.

Key Objectives

  1. To offer hysteroscopic sterilisation as an informed choice to all female patients who request a sterilisation as a preferred choice for those patients contraindicated for laparoscopic surgery or general anaesthesia.
