NHS70

On Thursday 5 July the NHS turns 70, and we think that's worth celebrating. We'll be recognising the past, present and future contributions of the RUH.

We've already heard some amazing stories from members of the public, including the birth of the first baby under the NHS at the RUH back in 1948, and the experiences of one trainee nurse from that same year. Our colleagues have been getting involved too, sharing photos, memorabilia and memories. You can read all these stories below.

If you've got a story to share, please contact the Communications team send us an email at
ruh-tr.CommunicationTeam@nhs.net  or call us on 01225 821459 or 01225 826278.
We'd love to hear from you.

Who are they?

We've often wondered about the people who inspired our ward names, so we took the opportunity to find out a bit more.
