Specialised Tests
Some specialised tests are sent to other laboratories, the majority are sent to either Southmead (North Bristol NHS Trust), Cardiff (UHW) or Oxford (John Radcliffe Hospital). These will take up to 8 weeks before the result is returned.

For addition of extra tests please contact the department 01225 824728. The time limit for requesting extra tests is within 2 days of sample collection for EDTA and SST, Citrate samples are unsuitable for the addition of extra tests, a new specimen should be taken.
